Mark Twight is a legend in the climbing world, essentially the punk-rock climber who invented high-speed ascents back in the 80’s. He went on to further accomplishments by starting GymJones where he trained actors and athletes before moving on (with help from his now ex-wife…) to starting a new gym called Non-Prophet (which is now run by Michael Bleavins and was renamed Ollin, with app included). As of now, I think he is retired but I don’t know.
PED in sports and ways to improve outcomes in any physical endeavor have been debated since the 1960’s and there is no end in sight. Personally, I think organizations like WADA are fighting a losing battle but I could be wrong. I lean towards MMA journalist Luke Thomas and his opinion that no one is clean and that it really doesn’t matter since you still need to train in order to be successful and that will always be the dividing line.
In that vein, I recommend Mark Twight’s essay on this.
